Below is a link to download a January 2023 letter from HealthforAnimals to FAIRR, an NGO leading an 'engagement' with a portion of the animal health sector. The letter identifies issues in a recent assessment of several HealthforAnimals Members including some omissions, inconsistencies and factual errors. It also provides information explaining why the assessments are out of step with existing global data and evaluations regarding antibiotics and animal health.

Since the United Nations issued their ‘Political Declaration on AMR’ in 2016, countries across the globe have implemented national action plans to address the threat of resistance. HealthforAnimals Response to FAIRR Engagement
In summer 2022, the FAIRR initiative contacted six HealthforAnimals members as part of their ongoing formal 'engagement' with the animal health sector.
Recognizing that antimicrobial resistance is a 'pre-competitive' issue where our sector must collaboratively and support clear action, Members have provided a collective answer through HealthforAnimals.
These answers can be downloaded at the below link so all stakeholders may view our Members perspectives and commitment to responsible use of animal medicines.

An Open Letter on Pandemic Preparedness
