Veterinarians fear for pets’ health after one in four owners admit to missing appointments during pandemic
November 5, 2020, BRUSSELS – Veterinarians have warned of a resurgence of preventable diseases among domestic animals after one in four pet owners said they had delayed or missed appointments because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Animal health Sector Pledges $10 Billion Towards Reducing Need for Antibiotics to Tackle Resistance

East African countries register first veterinary product under new Mutual Recognition Procedures
Arusha, 1st October 2018 - The first licences for a veterinary vaccine submitted for registration under the East African Community’s Mutual Recognition Procedure (MRP) have been issued.

Animal Health industry calls for greater collaboration between national governments
Thursday 17 November 2016. HealthforAnimals, the global animal medicines association, called for greater cooperation between national governments to improve market access for veterinary medicines at the 5th Global Animal Health Conference in Delhi, India.
In front of representatives from two dozen countries, HealthforAnimals encouraged regulators and policymakers to build stronger regional cooperation networks that can streamline regulatory systems and improve the availability of animal medicines.
